Crouching Flower, Hidden Jade

‘Crouching Flower, Hidden Jade’ borrows ideas from Edward Said’s ‘Orientalism’ and Homi Bhabha’s ‘Mimicry’, looking at the ways in which Western fashion’s tendency to exotify and commodify non-western cultures in turn continually reinforce dogmatic stereotypes of Chinese culture.
